In recognition of my contribution to the field of Psychology I was recently awarded the status of Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society.
Some of the difficulties I have helped people with include:
+ Depression
+ Anxiety
+ Panic
+ Phobias
+ Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
+ Eating Disorders
+ Autism
+ Asperger's
+ ADHD
+ Parenting Difficulties
+ Challenging Behaviour
+ Self Harm
+ Relationship Difficulties
+ School Refusal
+ Social Difficulties
+ Work or Academic Stress
+ Poor Self Esteem/ Self Confidence
+ Aggression or Anger Problems
For the past 12 years I have specialised in working with children and adolescents and their families and until recently I worked as a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist for the NHS in addition to my private practice. In the NHS, I managed a team of therapists working with in schools, supporting children with emotional and behavioural disorders, their families and their teachers. In addition, I worked specifically with adolescents who were at risk of dropping out of education because of their emotional and behavioural difficulties. This involved working directly with young people and their families but also with other professionals who work with them through the use of training and consultation.
